There are so many characteristics that made Finn, Finn; but there are 5 that stand out.

So if you've been my friend on social media, you are probably pretty aware of the fact that Finn was one photogenic baby. You turned the phone on him and BAM a smile to melt your world. He was a ham, my little ham sandwich. He's probably smiling in heaven knowing how many people are enjoying his precious face in all the pictures and videos I share.
It all started when I went back to work around November. Dada would be in charge of Finn for an hour or so between me going to work and the nanny arriving. During my 2nd period class, I would receive the good morning diaper change picture. My 2nd period students all knew and would ask to see it each morning. Here is a small collection of those morning shots from Dada.

Then came our pictures in front of the mirror in his room and our bathroom. His mirror is (and will always remain) smeared with hand prints from his desire to reach in and touch that cute baby smiling back at him. I mean, who could blame him?

When Finn first started using his walker from his Grandpa John and Grandma Kim, he would sneak into our room (and by sneak I mean run so fast we blinked and he was gone) to look at himself in the tall mirror in our room. So glad I caught one of those classic moments on camera.
Then came the times where I wanted to showcase a new skill Finn had learned, so I would discreetly (or so I thought) setup the camera to film him. But Finn was entirely too smart for my antics and would quickly spot the camera and crawl over to see himself up close and personal.
Finn's love for himself was infectious. He knew he was perfect; we all did.
So today, love yourself a little bit more. Smile when you look at yourself in the mirror. And crawl towards the camera instead of away from it.
We are one day away from the anniversary of the HAPPIEST day of our entire beings. Say an extra prayer for Austin and I tonight as we struggle with celebrating our angel baby tomorrow. I had planned an epic party for our guy, but I'm sure it doesn't even begin to contend with what God and his PawPaw have in store.
Much Love,
Finn's Mama
